what i've been up to

this morning i printed out a draft of my dissertation for a read-through. right now, without graduate college-mandated preliminary pages, bibliography and appendices, but including photos, it's 272 pages. fearing the first photo didn't really get the point across, i had to take this other one, with tape measurer (propped up wth some books).

that's a lot of pages. i read the whole shebang (it took many hours) and now i am exhausted and barely have the mental energy to write this post. i'm supposed to circulate the draft to my committee on june 5th and i feel there's still a lot to be done before i let them see it, but i can't imagine doing a minute more of it today.
okay, time for a glass of wine and a burrito...

  2. i think i've been having dreams about your 272 page paper. maybe nightmares where i've put myself in your situation, but wasn't nearly as collected as you to get your dissertation written in time. i'm in awe of your studiousness!

  3. carrie,
I remember vividly this time in Samantha's dissertation experience. I am sure you have done a wonderful job of capturing your time in The Gambia and explaining what it means for anthro and public health work.

Keep plenty of wine on hand...always.
